Hi 744,

my husband and I are going to be flying from LAX to FRA and then coming home London to LAX.
The flight there is business class lufthansa fight B747-400 and home is business class United Airlines B777-200.

can you just give me a little insight to those seats and flights? i have never flown first class and i got that summer sale special that lufthansa just had and just booked it!

  LH business is really nice, especially the crew hospitality. Their seats are lay flat, but are tilted at 170 degrees or so, so you are not parallel to the ground, so some people complain about sliding, which has never happened to me and I fly the business class cabin 4-5times a year. UA is true lay flat, and has newer seats. The UA IFE is a better because the screen is larger

  The soft product (staff, food, etc) is sometimes suspect with UA, especially the food. Lufthansa always has a great staff and good food on board. Either way you'll enjoy the ride on each airline! Have a nice trip!
