Isn't today the deadline for the 2011 Elite Rewards to post?

I still didn't get them. Anyone experiencing the same situation?

It's Sunday, I doubt they have people working on adding these today. Maybe tomorrow?

According to the Terms and Conditions it was supposed to be today, but even so, I thought the system was automated!!!

So couldn't they be posted at some point during today, perhaps even much later? Is there a pressing need you have for your selection?

I do... you know those Evips are all subject to availability, as close as it gets to departure it becomes harder and harder to get clear!!

While in some cases you might miss some upgrade inventory, most likely a day won't hurt. ;)

So there's upgrade space open that you cannot use?

You seem to have the worst luck. Everything that can go wrong with anything you do with AA always seems to happen. Makes me wonder....

Well, you can think what you want, but there is only one truth, AA failed to deliver its rewards on time according to its Terms and Conditions. I don't care if they arrive 1 week, 1 month late, as long as I'm able to upgrade my parents from Y to J on a very long route, and as of now Expert Flyer says there is only 2 seats available. Hopefully I'm lucky enought so I can get those 2 for them in time!!

I don't disagree that AA has failed to meet its obligation if nothing shows up by midnight. I just find it odd that no matter what topic is being discussed, you have an issue or it effects you. If my luck was that bad or I had that many issues with AA I'd have moved to UA already! You must love your AA miles! :D

It seems we are on borrowed time from now. Now Tell me: Is it just me or do you think this is happenning to everyone?

I checked this AM and my extra SWUs did not post either. I remember when I selected my choice it said they would post by April 15 2012, I know yesterday was a Sunday so they should have posted them on Friday if they wanted to meet their own ridiculous deadline.
My only concern is the validity of the SWUs, if they take too long to post and the expiration is next January then the window to use them gets smaller every day. If the expiration is a year from the time they post or all of next year, then I can wait.

But even so dear friend that's a fail from AA with us that met their requirements.

Remember that Eloy is based here in Rio. We have some quite poor support here, and AA, while better than most others, especially UA, is not great. We have particular problems with upgrades whether they are eVips, Business ExtrAA or ordinary miles-based upgrades. Possibly that is because there are not many of us here, I do not know. I do know I have experienced my share of frustrations in common with Eloy. I also know we are both AA loyalists because AA is dominant here, and because they are less bad than others. So, is Eloy attracting some of this himself? NO!, except insofar as our common decision to live in paradise justifies being subject to continuous mishaps.

I don't think I said he attracts this strife, I was just commenting on how he seems to have some very bad luck. While I know that the Brazil staff might be an issue, he has had many other complaints and problems that have absolutely nothing to do with being based in Brazil. As I mentioned, it seems like a string of very bad luck.

David, for the rate I travel, I can tell you the problems I had with AA are very low. Last Year I travelled more than 300.000 miles, almost as good as George Cloney in the movie, so if you go back and make a list of how many problems I had it would be like 5% of all the travel that I do. And this current problem is not just affecting me, perhpas I'm the only one complaining so far, because as my dear friend jbcarioca can verify the availability of seats for upgrades here are also minimal, and as I told you before, I'm more concern about my parent's travel than mine, because I don't want them to travel almost 7K miles on Economy, when I can get them in business due to my special loyalty to AA last year. That's it! :)

What did AA say when you called them?

When I called the Brazilian CSR, they told me they don't have any information about that. Then I've sent an email, but no answer till now!!!
