Resolved A server error has occurred?

    Anybody seeing this or is it just me?

    For the last hour or so I'm getting errors on the site as well as when using the mobile app.

    On the site it happens when I click on "What's New" even though the "Watched Threads" seems to work ok.

    When using the mobile app attempting to open any subscribed threads throws an error.

    I've been seeing this for hours when trying to post in the SMD4 pre discussion thread, with about 2000 posts, but I was able to post in SkyTeam, in an existing small thread of about fifteen posts. I've also say a database error message in the same kind of black and red popup box, not the plain white database error message that tends to mean a real database error.

    I'm not seeing the full blue and white MP page error message but just the black and red popup boxes.

    Now I'm getting the blue and white MP full server error page. I can get to the first eighty pages of the thread, to post #2000 from last night, but not further in the thread, including posts that were OK last night and this morning. Since the SMD4 sub forum page shows that we're now to post #2086 and it was mine, I suspect that all of my server error messages were nevertheless posting and there might now be fifty posts of my same message but I can't see pages 81-86 of the thread to be sure.

    The other SMD4 threads look fine to me, for posting and for viewing, including the launch party one with about 1800 posts.

    I haven't tried to open any of the really huge treads today and I'm not inclined to try.

    Now the PreSMD4 thread is back to only 2020 posts and 744 was able to post there, but I can't get into the later pages of it still.

    Randy seems to be on MP now, or he was when I looked a few minutes ago, but no one else seems to be logged in.

    See my post above. Someone in COS might be currently trying to fix some of the problems.

    ADDED 15 minutes later: Randy seems to have disappeared now.

    I wonder if it's related to the huge threads or to people "like us" with a lot of posts. I can't imagine that everyone would be having an issue all the time and wouldn't have reported it yet.

    I'm getting error messages when I try to use the MP iPad app on the same thread, although it was OK on another thread.

    Guilty I guess, but many other threads work fine for me. Are JALPak or Kaanapali (spelling fixed?) here today? I think our NYC/Hawaii friend did post recently. Also there's lots of licking going on by Chimpy in the big FL lounge.

    I have had very slow response time on and off today, and, for several hours now I too have been getting "error" on any search I try to do.

    With the exception of SC Flier, who I assume is "Gold by default", all the complaints -- at least in this thread -- are from Gold members.

    I am experiencing this issue too. As are other members of the FL* Lounge thread. Have you given Chimpy his own server yet?

    FWIW, guides are not Gold by default and earn Gold status by following whatever happens to be the current algorithm. I suspect that this issue is affecting users regardless of their status. Since there has been no official response to this thread, I'll click on the "Report" link to try to escalate the issue.

    Yeah but I would imagine that SOME people actually use the breadcrumb method and go hopping from one folder to another all day long, but I find it odd that nobody but Gold members have complained about it, or at least as part of this feedback thread.

    I mean, I figure even the newbies use the search and/or the "What's New" link -- which I imagine is a search in and of itself. But for nobody to actually cry is strange...

    Then again, maybe we're just the vocal minority. :)
