Just booked a ticket earlier today to SNA and did not have any problems selecting my seats.

Did you select while booking or did you book and then enter the reservation to select seats? I can book when buying, just not make changes after purchase.

Oh Ok, I selected while booking.

I just changed seats a few minutes ago for a reservation upcoming in two weeks time. No problem.

I too tested it today. Just fine. Of course I then changed them back.

I sent an email to AA Web Services and they asked me to call them. I'm thinking it's just me.

You're special, but not that special. There must be a glitch that affects some geographies, os, browser, etc but not others.

    Worked for me yesterday.

It could be just you ;) Maybe try clearing cookies, cache, etc ..

Just received an invite in the mail today. Not sure when/if I might use it but I didn't see any downside so I signed up online. Refreshing to see a one page T&C's sheet :)

It happens on different computers and I tried clearing, no dice.

This is a minor issue for me though, I'm having much bigger issues with AA this week regarding an award ticket. I'm pretty easy going, but I'm on the verge of .

I'm debating on pulling a trigger for a -relatively- nice fare from SEA to SJU. Any interest for a SJU DO, anyone?

Maybe ... fares from DFW were not interesting last time I checked though I was looking at swinging by SDQ before the AC closed.

While transferring terminals in DFW on last trip, AA pilot told me lease rate for any empty AA S80 is 75K/month. Wow. Random tidbit that was news to me.

This may not be a new issue, but have you experienced the delay in getting the "upgrade notification" message? There were times when I didn't get the email at all, and other times when the email wasn't sent until hours after the clearance, causing me to not getting my desired seats.

First world problem, I know, but I still wish it would work perfectly :)

have never used it. seems like it's ok if one needs internet/space to work in some random city..the "lounge" access is free...office space is paid.

Today I arrived in GIG after a flight from MIA in C. My bags, all six of them, arrived within three minutes of my immigration clearance, which itself took only two minutes. AA is improving enormously on the ground here at GIG.

How's everyone doing with requalification at the halfway mark? I'm 26K short and am debating MRing for the first time ever, or ..... not requalifying.

    How about you?

I've got 20k left to go on AA EXP and a bit more than that on DL PM. Not likely going to keep AS MVP next year unless flying goes up again and I need to credit them somewhere. AS MVPs not worth it - better to rollover on DL I think. Hoping to use SWUs on new 773 flights this winter for my last 10k on AA - will be close :)

You're 26K short? There's still half a year! I'm sure you'll be fine. Just re-qualified and got my SWUs within days!

True it's only 50% done, but I'm almost 100% leisure travel and the costs are just prohibitive lately. Which isn't to say this is an AA problem, prices are high all around. I could get the 26K in two trips, but at quite a price than I'm used to paying. Plus I redeemed for a OW J award earlier this year, and most my year is taken up on award travel now. I also don't really mile run, if I take a trip I want to spend some time in the location and take in some sights and eat some food.

We will see, perhaps something compelling will pop up in the next 6 months. Or I did find a multicity itinerary that took me to ICN and EDI for about $900 each. Not so bad. I've been EXP pretty much since I joined AAdvantage, so it would be interesting to see me drop back to PLT for the year. I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
