Not sure if this is news or not, but it looks like US is going to retrofit its 332s with the Envoy Suite also. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/us...in-on-entire-widebody-airbus-fleet-2012-05-09
The A332's have had the suite for over a year. The A333 retrofit was just completed, so currently, the entire US Airways A330 fleet has the Envoy suite.
So this is a press release for something that has already happened? They're just announcing the completion of it. So I know I'll have the Envoy Suite no matter when I fly the A330
It's a press release saying that the Envoy suite retrofit is complete, plus highlighting additional seasonal European routes. From the press release (second paragraph, after the break): "The Envoy Suite is now available on the airline's entire Airbus A330 fleet of 16 aircraft..." So yes, if you fly a route that is served by an A330 (either -200 or -300), you are guaranteed the suites.
I wonder if US has plans to put the suite in the 767...or just replace them as they take delivery of more A330's in the coming years.
I don't think there are plans to do that. I think partially it's an issue of the 767's being retired relatively soon when the A350's roll in, but I also think it's an issue that a 1-2-1 suite configuration can't physically fit in a 767, since it's a decent amount narrower than an A330.
