Singapore Airlines is upgrading their system this weekend, and due to a glitch all award availability that’s usually available exclusively to KrisFlyer members is now available to Star Alliance partners.

Hurry up and act fast !

For those booking tickets that touch the US, I bet the DOT would be able to get involved if SQ tried to cancel.

I've been in "your purchase Is confirmed, you will be notified when internal processing is complete" for the last six hours, do you think that is a problem?

Thanks, called in, agent said whomever put it through last night did not put in the fare information and ticket needed to be cleaned up a bit. Hopefully it will be ticketed soon, but if not done by later today call back it - hope it works - later today may be to late.

Great immediately ticketed, can see eticket number and all, hopefully its good.

FWIW, http://www.singaporeair.com is back after reservation system merge, but I can't retrieve my booking using record locator provided by UA. No error; nothing happens.

Update: http://mobile.singaporeair.com works like a charm. Got my seats picked out. It was a difficult choice: Row 12 or 14 of the A380 all-business upper deck. :)

Did you get via the phone? I tired to ask last nigh and the agent claimed its the same as UA which I don't believe, forgot to ask the agent this morning.

Is it still possible to book these? What are the most interesting SQ destinations from USA? Maldives? Bali? SYD via SIN? What are the stopover rules?

You can route TATL: SQ operates JFK-FRA-SIN and IAH-DME-SIN direct, 1-stop flights. JFK is operated by A380 (no F awards, only C). The flights from IAH are on 777-300 with new F.

FYI I just got a call from UA! Turned out that it was just a survey on my call last night.

So what did everyone get? And where did you see it first?

I saw it via Lucky's tweet and only got going on it once I was trying to get to bed. I'm replacing a downgraded return from bkk on CX (LAX flight lost First) with BKK on TG F (Royal Silk Spa here we come) to SQ 2 from HKG to SFO, overnight then on home to DCA. I may pay the change fee to get a US Airways redeye to get us home early the next day rather than overnightting in SFO.

I feel very fortanant that my wife got here UA 60k card recently and that I had enough Saphire points to make this happen (and my wife had some older UA points...). The routing is simple and direct, nothing too over the top like some others have managed, but it fit in very well with our existing trip - that's had a lot of ups and downs, like loosing OZ first and CX first.

I will hold on to my CX business return for a few weeks to make sure this new ticket works out.
