Why call Thailand - "The Land of Smile"? Once you visited Thailand, you will notice that the most prominent feature of the character of the Thai people is their natural inclination to smile. Perhaps it was the influence of Buddhism. Thai people take things easy and they are kind to strangers. They are always cheerful no matter whether in success or in adversity.

Thai people have lived in their motherland for centuries in happiness and contentment. Another significant trait of the Thai nation - their love of peace. their exceptional ability to co-exist with people of different ethnic groups, different religions, different political views and different social classes. In Thai history, there have been no religious wars or foreign conquest.

Actually, they don't undo the knots. First the money is pulled out and sorted, then presented to the groom's parents, along with gifts. The strings are either left to fall off or they are pulled off, never cut.

This is was from my future BIL/SIL's wedding. It was a very cool affair.
