Most of the post count is well hidden in the off-topic forums. Most of the on topic ones are kept fairly clean.

Some (especially other kitties) might say you're also lickable. On MP, likes and licks go together so well because there are so many creatures flying around here.

Fortunately this site isn't that simple. There are twelve moving factors in the algorithm that grants status and points, and we only know two of them- likes and points. Those two seem to play heavily in the initial stages, which encourages general participation and activity. It appears that the other 10 start kicking in above that.

Like I say, we don't know what those ten are, but we suspect the following are included:

• percentage of polysyllabic words in your posts
• whether you give your likes judiciously
• how creatively you use the ugly smilies
• which forums you post in
• whether you transfer miles to the algorithm's brothers girlfriend
• how often your posts are quoted
• how often your posts are "shared" on Facebook
• how many people get so excited by your posts that they click the ads by accident
• how often you are liked by people whom you dislike
• proper syntax and grammar count extra; demerits for TXT language
• bonus for spending more than 13 hours a day actively participating

So sit back, relax, and watch those points start piling up!

Percentage polysyllabic words, that's incredible. I am currently wondering who would inflate their posts with more polysyllabic sentences.
Otherwise, think there will ever be the option to donate to the site and gain status?
