Not surprising.... remember that Holy Week & Easter are a big holiday season in most Catholic areas.... folks travel a lot during that week so rates are high and occupancy goes through the roof just about everywhere......
If you're going to Mendoza, ask your hotel to provide you with information on a day trip to the High Andes. Spectacular. Cost was about $41 US dollars per person, and no tipping. The Right Side of the Andes won't disappoint.
