In reading through the features of EF I am still unclear on exactly what airlines award availability is searchable. Is it limited to a specific group of airlines? The two I would be most interested in having access to would be US and LH. Thanks.
The list of supported Award & Upgrade airlines is linked to from the Support page, here is the list: http://www.expertflyer.com/sessionlessClassList.do Let us know if you have any other questions or email us at customercare@expertflyer.com
I like EF, but you should be aware that the availability it shows for LX is what you get if you are using Miles & More, not other *A partners (I believe that EF displays this prominently, but it's still worth pointing out). So LX availability on EF doesn't mean, for example, that you can book it using US/UA/CO miles. It seems that in general the converse is true, though -- so if you don't see availability under EF you won't find it under any other carrier.
Thanks Rom, that is all correct and we do show a note to that effect at the top of LX Award & Upgrade search results.
It is up to the airlines to allow us to see their award inventory. If can send a note to their frequent flyer departments on our behalf, that would be appreciated.
I have AA and BA miles. I would like to book an award ticket on Cathay Pacifc flight. Is it possible to check CX award ticket availability on ExpertFlyer thru AA or BA miles ?
The full list of what Award and Upgrade classes ExpertFlyer shows is here: http://www.expertflyer.com/sessionlessClassList.do Currently, the only direct source of information for CX awards is either the CX or JL websites.
