Members have mentioned that some of the nominated avatars are a bit creepy and freak them out. In my effort to be fair, I will try and put more photos that relate to our wonderful hobby of travel, and more of the cute and fuzzies. Originality is most important and lets still appreciate those that are odd as that often shows a good sense of humour!
Thank you Emos-closet! I made that avatar myself on Photoshop using the logo of my website Feathered and Free on a rainforest background. It's actually a custom iPhone case I have for sale in my Zazzle store and use on my personal iPhone. Parrot conservation and eco-tourism is what drives me to get more miles and points so I feel it really represents who I am as a traveller.
To show my solidarity with the people of Japan who are suffering right now from unimaginable adversities...I changed my avatar for a few days to a Japanese macaque (snowmonkey). These intelligent animals live in northern Japan and I hope they are safe from the devastation.
