I suggest the following.... - El Grill at the Marriott Plaza - La Brigada San Telmo and please.... avoid Cabaña Las Lilas at all costs... overpriced tourist trap !!! For Italian cuisine.... - Bella Italia - La Parolaccia - Sottovoce - Italpast
Can't go wrong with Gaucho's recs. Also... Indian: Katmandu Lebanese: Sarkis Brunch: Amaranta Drinks: Milion I'd give all of these 5 stars on Yelp.
Ah, that's too bad. There were a couple of other "American" brunch places around town, but Amaranta was our favorite.
So I'm headed to BsAs for the first time at the end of this month; I really appreciate the 'Dead Cow' recs, and will definitely try some of them out... but I was wondering if there are any other places serving typical Argentine food that people (I'm looking at you, Gaucho!) might recommend... you know, local spots. Looking forward to seeing what people have to say!
This thread is the place to look.... El Pobre Luis is a local spot, as are many of the others listed....
I wound up going to La Cabrera, and it was absolutely delicious. Had the bife de chorizo, and wish I was eating it right now... I also went to a favorite spot of my friend's, also in Palermo, called Don Julio. This was a real neighborhood spot, and the food was likewise extremely good. Of special note: the morcilla. It was soooo good!
We had a delicious, near perfect steak at Fervor. It's short walking distance to the Hyatt. This is an old world charm establishment that offers great service and attention. The next night we ate at La Cabrera. Lots more fat on their steak. This is a very busy, trendy place.
