I got the 80% offer and DH got the 90%. Not sure how they worked that out as he has never flown US nor does he have a credit card.
And apparently some elites with a credit card got a rock, so maybe it's targeted to people they want to attract?
Well if you have the balance with US or someone else in the alliance then maybe it's not worthwhile, but just like most of the other US Airways promos it's not a bad deal to bulk up on miles for a good redemption (IMO). Even with 80% you're looking at 90k miles for under $1,900. Considering you can do North Asia for 90k miles, a partner redemption for 100k or even off peak Europe in Business for 60k, that's not a bad deal at all, since purchasing the fare outright would cost you 2-3 times as much (on a good day). I can understand that some people are just opposed to buying miles, but depending on your travel plans this is actually a pretty good way to rack up the miles at a reasonable cost.

If you were targeted then the special offer text shows up right under the "Member Information" header and the dropdown changes to include the bonus miles
I've purchased miles before when they had a 100% bonus. They're not currently offering me anything Maybe it's people that haven't booked award flights in the past?
My wife received the 90% offer. I have not received any offer. Our histories with US Airways are identical — same flights, same class of service. We both have the US Airways credit card, applied within a day or two of each other.
It does seem a bit random. No email for me either. i've also bought miles in the past, and fly them often (next one in 3 days). Alphabetical or regional sounds like a possibility, but why?

I received an email offer for the 100% offer. Purchased the max again. Even though the value has lessened somewhat this is still a great value. Only ever redeemed for Wellington-Europe for 150K in F but done this several times. Still comes out as an extraordinary value with cost barely above an economy fare Jeff
Anyone have an idea when the next Buy Miles promo will be? I'm trying to top off an award and unfortunately I'm not targeted for this one
