Resolved Can't post when there's ignored posts in thread

OK I was playing with the "ignore" feature just now. After I ignored a member, Gargoyle in this case, who has posted on page 953 in the JAL lounge thread, the text box for me to type my reply is gone. I tried to click "Post Message" but it returned an error message saying my message is invalid. Same thing happened even after I clicked "Show Ignored Content"

When I went to other pages, e.g. first page, where Gargoyle didn't post on then I see the input text box.

This is Safari 5.1.2 on Mac OS X 10.6.8

Thanks for the heads up, we are looking into this.

I've heard confirmation from another user of this same problem.

Also issues with "liking" a post by a non-ignored user that quotes an ignored user.

To recap my experiences since implementing "ignore" against only one member who we will call stalker for purposes of this post:

If there is ignored content on a page, I cannot like any post on that page, or seemingly the one following, without the verification page "Are you sure you want to like this post?" I also will not have a reply box on that page or the one following, and have to reply to a specific post and then delete the quoted text to start with a fresh idea. This problem will occur anytime the page is refreshed after stalker posts, even if that page was 'normal' until that time.

And unfortunately, "ignore" has not stopped the stalker from appearing in my "who's online" list as stalker follows me. (I obviously am not following stalker.) As this is the list that allows you to chat with members through the pop-up in the lower right, presumably stalker can try to initiate chats with me.

I also am having to click on the "alerts" tab to view my alerts when I am on a page that has ignored content- it does not fly-out anymore. [edit: make that all fly-outs cease to function up there, such as inbox and the menu under my username.]

I am using the latest release of IE9.

This apparently applies to the latest version of Chrome as well....

Thanks for the update guys. This is a non-browser specific problem from what I can tell so I expect it is effecting all users regardless of browser when you have ignores in place. We are working to find/fix the bug on this, in the mean time you can use the "more options" button next to where the quick reply text box would normally be and it takes you to a reply page that does work. Thanks.

This should be working as expected for you all now. I guess I can remove Gargoyle from ignore now too.

i think we should be rewarded even more status points for manually ignoring him

Why would there be stalkers here? And trolls typically Are on the outside, rather than the inside of the circle. I don't get it.

With almost 47,000 registered members, anything is possible. Imagine a small city that size, what a diverse bunch of characters would live there.
