Caribbean Airlines to launch Gatwick-Trinidad route

Caribbean Airlines will launch four times-weekly non-stop flights between Gatwick and Piarco International airport in Port of Spain in June, with a further three flights per week operating via Barbados.

The national carrier of Trinidad and Tobago will commence flights on June 14, using B767-300ER aircraft fitted with “state-of-the-art cabins, including in-seat power and video as well as flatbed business class seats”.

Non-stop services will operate from Gatwick on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, while from June 16 the carrier will add three further flights per week via Barbados.

British Airways currently flies six times-weekly from Gatwick to Port of Spain in Trinidad, while both BA and Virgin both fly once a week from Gatwick to ANR Robinson International airport on the island of Tobago.
