What about: 1. Breakfast at Elk Grove if you're not staying there? 2. Parking at Elk Grove if you're not staying there?
I emailed Ingy and he said he wasn't sure about the former (but was checking into it) and that there's plenty of free parking for those not staying there.

IMO if you aren't staying there you would probably prefer to spend your $20 elsewhere. It will be crowded with nowhere to sit and not a bargain, put it that way. There is a lot of parking at this hotel and since most folks will have arrived without cars, I don't think there will be a problem. Call the hotel if you have any concerns.
We have filled our contracted room blocks at both the main hotel and the overflow hotel. YOU CAN STILL BOOK ROOMS. It just means that since the overflow hotel is booking other guests (non-Seminar attendees), we have no way to be sure that it won't fill up. You can still book using the codes in post #2 and the terms are the same. Between the 2 hotels, there are about 458 rooms, but we don't have access to the booking data. We don't want people to wait too long without warning and be disappointed. Transportation to/from other area hotels may be difficult/expensive/slow if you don't have a car. 324 registrants now, and space for another 226.
355 registrants now, 195 to go to max capacity. 18 in the last 4 days, so the pace is picking up. gleff's Award Bookings seminar at 10 am Saturday has 278, so only 22 spots left. This one will be filled in a week or less I predict. Lucky's 1 pm Saturday SPG/UA session with Captain Denny is at 238 attendees, max 300. ORD has been seeing some good airfares of late. Don't wait too long!
Recent registrant! Super excited! Can't wait to meet others like me. Well, hopefully not exactly like me because then the world would be a scary place. As someone who is local, if you guys need help/volunteers, let me know. More than happy to pitch in.
I can't remember what seminars I signed up for. I found my email receipt for payment but I can't find the itinerary. Any ideas?
Login here: https://www.eventbrite.com/login Click Manage Order under Chicago Seminar and scroll down.. should be listed all there!
I'm told my award booking session is full. Highly suggest anyone on the fence sign up to get your choice of remaining sessions. Eg I'd imagine Captain Denny will be popular and a foreclosed option shortly.
Is there a current report of how full things are...and how firm is full, what if people don't show? Not booked yet and wondering if I waited too long to get into the sessions I might want.
Realized I was being silly...I have been wanting to go to this and have been finding excuses not to. Reservations made, flight booked. See you all there!
404 registrants now! We continue to get 2+ more a day, so with about 55 days remaining we have a shot at a sellout. Last year we sold all 550 spots, but about 70 failed to show. If you decide for sure that you cannot come, please let me know. This will affect our planning a bit. Thanks. Some stats: 2010 attendee? I'm in, but too late for gleff's presentation on award bookings, it appears . It's OK, though, since I think I work just down the street from him and can drop by and pester him with questions without notice . Now just debating whether to stay with family or at the Sheraton across the street from the overflow hotel. Can someone comment on whether I'd be able to use the shuttle from the overflow to get to the host hotel if I stay at the Sheraton? Thanks! Also, in case anyone's interested, AA and B6 have $120 r/t ai flights available from NYC and BOS. Can't imagine these will last very long. Of course, nothing from WAS .
I'm not sure about the shuttle from overflow.. hopefully? I'm thinking of doing a little SPG hotel hopping for the two nights since I need the stays. I might just rent a car. We'll see!
Since the overflow hotel has met it's allotted block are we still obliged to book the hotel at the negotiated rate?
422 registrants now. Been getting about 5 more per day this week, so with about 50 days to go before the event, I surmise we will fill up. AA has some specials to/from Chicago, expiring midnight Sep. 8.
