|| Delta CEO Says Airline to Pressure Prices as Jet Fuel Seller || Interesting development when the airlines sells Jet Fuel too!
Delta Airlines = to sell their own Jet Fuel + higher fuel prices / spurred by higher oil prices = more profit for the airline = well seen Delta!
How will they sell their own fuel, when they are using 210,000 barrels a day, and producing/swapping 172,000 barrels a day?
Read the first paragraph of the article. "Delta plans to be a seller of jet fuel". It doesn't say that they are going to only be producing for themselves. I'm sure that lower fuel prices will benefit them for the additional fuel they need to buy.
They can't get it to all the places they need it, so they will use most of it, sell some of it, and in other places continue to purchase it. -David
I suspect this ends in a bust for DL. The compliance costs for keeping the plant at spec will outweigh the benefits of owning it over 10 years time, bookmark it and check back in 10 years
