Overheard in sky club... I hate it...it's a different look. Does the new Sky Club decor have *any* fans? Also, Midcon redeyes are not my favorite.
I'm guessing the person who designed it likes the new decor, but that's probably about it. I imagine DL had already paid him/her so much money that they figured it wasn't worth scrapping and starting over.
The choice between redeye and productivity-killing midafternoon departure that is required when flying sea-msp is annoying. Got surprisingly decent sleep on the plane plus a nap in the lounge. SEA ground staff are top notch.
mersk862 and rwoman will likely be amused to hear that I was wandering around my local Saturday market getting some lunch while wearing a Georgia Tech shirt and a random guy asked me (in an American accent) if I went there. Turns out he's a former Wake Forest baseball player who now lives over here. For some reason, I keep running into Wake alumni while wearing GT gear. It happened while hiking in the Blue Mountains outside SYD in December, too. Absolutely stunning spring day here in London. Need to get a bunch of laundry done before heading off to Ireland (NI and ROI) tomorrow, but I'm going to duck outside as much as I can.
I have to say its rather nice seeing a lot more Wake stickers on cars now that I'm in Atlanta rather than Phoenix. Did you catch the guys name? I'm thinking he was probably before my time as I don't think any of the guys on the team from my days are in London now.
No, it was just a quick encounter. I probably wouldn't have remembered his name anyway. He seemed to be a couple years older than me, so he would've played late 90s/early 2000s.
That's pretty funny...in an effort to blend, I rarely wear college stuff out.... Of course, it was warm enough today, I did not need a sweatshirt of any kind!
Red sox are up 4-1 in the middle of the 8th as I am heading out. If traffic prevails I'll go for a quick swim before getting ready to roll out early tomorrow morning.
I still would enjoy a season in which the Red Sox went 0-162. I loathe everything about that franchise and their fans.
I just grabbed the first T-shirt I found and chucked it into my bag before I went out for tag rugby this morning. My ref shirt reeked after seven matches earlier in the week, so I didn't want to have to wear it any longer than I had to today. Normally, college gear is reserved for actual game days for me.
I was only unlucky once, I just don't like that you have to go back into the pool and re-upgrade a flight that was not changed. There should be some way for the phone agents to reissue just the segment that's SDCing.
I love everything about Boston/NE sports. Even after the red sox blowing it in september and the patriots loosing it in the last few minutes I still enjoy being a fan.
Watching the Red Sox collapse on that fine September night was a highlight of 2012 for me. When the Red Sox lose, I am very happy.
It was a damn near perfect day in West Palm today. I had a friend who is visiting miami come up for the day and the four of us hit the pool. BabyStils even cooperated and hung out at the pool for a few hours without fussing. It was a small miracle.
The problem here is that I am not a Red Sox fan but the Mets fan in me appreciates what Bobby Valentine can help a team achieve.
I don't really mind the look, and for some clubs the renovation is welcome and positive. However, I particularly like the decor and layout of many of the old NW clubs better, and feel that in many cases they get worse when they are redone and also lose some functionality. When a club that's in good physical shape goes down for "upgrades" I'm not particularly excited for that reason.
A beautiful day in Morro Bay and area today. Storms coming in tonight and Sunday, but hopefully it will clear out by Monday morning for the drive to Santa Cruz! David
