Not disagreeing with you there. I'm just sayin' that the flight may be exciting to you, but there's many of us here that make that very flight several times a month year round. Aside from being asked to jump in the cockpit and fly the plane, there's just nothing that could possibly be interesting to anyone else. Glad you enjoyed it, though. Congrats.
ATL-LAS this thursday. 18 of 24 open up front. Window passed last night. No upgrade. Hasn't been V available at any window. ******* ridiculous
Hello from Belfast. Yesterday we visited the Giant's Causeway. Today was a sneak peak of the awesome new Titanic Belfast experience that opens this coming weekend and then a trip to Stormont, seat of the Northern Ireland Assembly. We got to meet the First Mininster and Deputy First Minister (really co-first ministers as a result of the power sharing agreement between the DUP and Sinn Fein) of NI. The afternoon included a bus tour of the murals (republican and unionist) throughout Belfast. On to Derry/Londonderry tomorrow!
Countdown to Miami has begun. Headed down to look around and preview a cruise for our 2013 Customer Incentive trip. Leave for MIA on Wednesday afternoon out of MSP. We'll have a couple of days to poke around the area and look for fun things to do. Then we stay at the Marriott Biscayne Bay on Friday night and settle details for our pre-cruise parties next January. Off to the ship on Saturday morning where we will meet with various folks to settle organized function options. We get to do the cruise and return on the following Saturday. We'll explore some more and head for Key West for two nights and then back to MSP on the 11th. Should be fun, although we will be doing assessments of activities for our customers on the trip next year. Hope everyone is having a good Monday! By the way, we'll be in the FnG SkyClub from 1:00PM until 3:00PM on Wednesday if anyone is going to be around.
Heading pbi-atl-fnt. With all of the damn Snowbirds and spring breakers I feel like a freaking diamond medallion. They Put me in zone 1 boarding which usually it's zone 2 with the Delta amex I thought. Hoping I get enough time for woodford on both flights... I need it. BabyStils was a handful all weekend.
Good evening from DL1867 ATL-HSV. Alas I am just doing a turn and coming back, where I should be seated in the appropriate cabin.
So I'm sitting at the window seat and the window shade is broken. Good thing I'm on the west side so the sun can blast me in the face the entire flight . The arm rest is pretty jankity too. Do people write letters and hope for some miles when this kinda crap is going on. Not pleased. Hoping I don't have a headache from the constant sun situation.
Starting to get ready for Saturday's adventure on UA to EZE and SCL. Don't know whether to be looking forward to the flights or wishing I had booked DL. Starts out with a backwards flight from JAX to IAD so that about 13 hours after leaving the house we will be flying abeam the again! Whoopie fun.
i'm very surprised about that. i did the DTW-LAS around 7pm on a Thursday this past December and I cleared as a gold and even my gf cleared as a silver at the windows. there really is no excuse for this.
So I just found out that I get to take part of a UN field trip in May--I can only imagine what the destination du jour will be
As long as kettles are properly punished and the booze is of top-shelf variety and flowing, any place should be acceptable.
Are you doing it for the Woodford or for the miles? Or are you just bored? Anyway, good evening from the Hilton Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley. Was nicely greeted at check-in, and upgraded to a very nice suite. Looks like a low occupancy night, but the upgrade is still much appreciated. The Hilton is in the mountains and not at the beach, but it is quiet and scenic which is perfectly fine with me. I have previously stayed at the Hampton Inn in Santa Cruz, which is a decent property. But I decided the Hilton would give me a better room in a better location and that I would not be panhandled. All of which has proven to be correct. I'll definitely be back. The weather was pleasant today, and the drive up PCH was pretty enjoyable other than the construction zones. This construction zone is pretty impressive: http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist05/projects/pitkins/whybridge_shed.pdf Next up: Embassy Suites in Monterey,. David
Combination of the first and third. Got out of work early-ish today as training ended early, so figured I could hop on a flight to either BHM or HSV - the HSV flight was much more open in both directions, so it was a pretty easy decision as to which one to take. Was a very nice little airport. I had thought that FL had stopped flying out of there by now, but they still had their gate all set up right across from the Delta gate.
But at least I'll be on a chartered aircraft... So I'm sure libations can be carried on. Sent from my iPhone using milepoint
We get dropped in the last round of closings, which I think is August. It would be nice if Delta could show us a bit more love. Our fares are always among the highest in the country. We have remaining service only to two Delta hubs, DTW (2x) and ATL (8x - 10x). I guess we got a bit of love as most of our HSV-ATL service is being turned over to DC-9s by May. And I guess your equipment this evening will be said DC-9, which no doubt is somewhat older than you are. David
Yup...the -9 I was on tonight was built more than nine years prior to me being born...N764NC appears to be 35 years old currently.
