Somehow I made it onto the earlier ORD-ATL flight and beat the thunderstorms out - otherwise, I'd be on a flight that's delayed at least three hours back into ATL tonight
We got into ATL 15 early ;-). The bigger shock was that my bag made it from E33 to the belt faster than I did.
Greetings from the less crowded ATL B club (upper B). I just saw a sign there is a 200 person limit. I am sure that # gets exceeded on more than a few occasions!
I never like gate checking but I've had pretty good experiences with it and the gate checked bags always seem to be the first ones on the belt. I'm trying to decide if my fishing rod and reel are carrying on with me this time (DTW-PBI) or if I'm going to bring it with me next time I fly home. I don't have a case so it's a little delicate.
I think this may have gone south. Despite having an AZ ticket number and both AZ and DL PNR's issued immediately, my CC has not been charged and the AZ website cannot find by ticket # (PNR only), says it has not been ticketed and I have to pay full price if I want it to be so. I'll give it a day and see what happens. I'm kind of torn. The connections were not ideal, but the price was right. I guess I'll wait for the next deal to come along.
I don't hate doing it on a leg where I am terminating after that flight as I know the bag will be on the plane with me. Connections are a different story though.
I'm sure the bag handlers hear the DM tag clanking and give it special treatment. Maybe you can get a hand-me-down crew tag from somebody at work? I have 0 revenue tickets booked with Delta. David
I'm back up to three (one OJ and two one-ways), although one needs drastic revisions. Fortunately, it's a full flex M that will be routed LHR-ATL(24 hours)-OMA(stop)-MSP-FAR and upgraded all the way with SWUs. Just need to figure out if I want to change online and get an ECV in GBP for the balance or call to cancel and rebook. Don't mid the ECV unless I'll have issues using it on USD-denominated tickets.
I've become a bit of a tag rugby addict. We've got three to six venues going across London Monday through Thursday nights. Some venues only have four teams, but others are around 20.
I was planning on meeting up with TravelingSalesGal and her husband at the F club after work tonight.
Sadly it's limited to only the Shuttles - LGA-BOS/DCA/ORD. The good news is that beer and wine are free on the Shuttle...even in coach!
