I think there was some furiation going on there BTW, it appears that the hurricane season is getting an early start with; TS Bud: 2:00 PM PDT Wed May 23 Location: 13.9°N 107.8°W Max sustained: 65 mph Moving: NW at 7 mph Min pressure: 995 mb And a area of low pressure extending from South of the Caymans out to Southern Florida.
~8.45 hours of classes left. Tomorrow 4 classes will be the last for seniors. But in reality once 8:26am comes on Friday nothing more academic will happen.
No kidding...of course, I was a "victim" this past Sunday on my LAX-ATL flight...a 763 that was not yet EC equipped... At least 4 DM's were in the back on that fligh!! Sadly, it DOES happen.
But TS Bud is in the Eastern Pacific. Those are not quite the same unless they decide to cross over and visit Cuba.
Yes but the pacific storms often impact nothing except shipping as they do not often make landfall. In comparison, the Atlantic storms … well…they are another story. Sent from my iPhone using milepoint
Hi all, So here's some first feedback on my journey ... - Tried to SDC on an earlier flight to JFK, but not allowed due to it being part of an international itinerary - Asked for standby at airport check-in: granted. Got onto the earlier flight, which almost got delayed when a middle-eastern couple was asked to moved out of the exit row for not easily understanding the instructions of the crew. The "gentleman" immediately started complaining about discrimination and refused to budge. The FAs remained totally polite and professional throughout the scene. A compromise was finally found. - A friendly DL employee happily showed me around JFK terminal 3 to the Airtrain. Very nice gentleman working in supply management for the Skyclubs. A credit to DL! - Now sitting in the AZ lounge in terminal 1. Nice spacious lounge, but one big disappointment: plastic glasses! More to come after my flight to Rome. Cheers, GenevaFlyer
Plastic glasses + soda pop = Proper. Plastic glasses + cocktails - No big deal. Plastic glasses + wine = an abomination.
You know you are heading to a leisure destination when silvers get an upgrade at their window for a flight leaving EWR... on a Friday night...
Greetings from the DFW club where the VDB has started for the holiday weekend. $400 for arriving 1.5 hrs later and still in the appropriate cabin is a good deal any day!!
IF you are "trapped" in Y on an upcoming booking and had seats booked in what is now domestic EC, be sure to check your seat assignments!
So both SMI/J and señor Dougie have failed me today. First it was a 2h30m delay for UA4833 to EWR, which would cause a misconnect. Then it was the 29B that US assigned me to which I did not approve of so I had to fight to get it changed to 6C. Sent from my iPhone using milepoint
Greetings from an ATL-LGA flight. Kettles have pleased me tonight (gasp!) as there were insufficient amounts of elites so that I got F on ATL-LGA tonight as a non-rev. As such, I was able to punish the kettles by using the SkyPriority line and consuming much Woodford (as the FA just handed me a new double with 20 minutes left until landing).
DFW-DTW - I probably could have gotten then next flight also, but I wanted home after my trips this week: GRR-ATL-LIT-ATL-TUL TUL-DAL(WN) DFW-DTW-GRR I am at 63 segments so far this year and only 60k miles (no rollover). ughhh
5 straight finals Tuesday to Thursday, and from there on I am 95% focused on work. It's going to be tough to once again get used to working weekday lunches.
I've finally booked my first revenue itinerary for the year (may not fly if I find a new job), so my segment and MQM counts both look awful ...
then you can do as all the disgruntled UA flyers claim that they are going to do and that is simply fly whoever is going where they are going at the best times and best price. Let's see how long they last doing that with no upgrades, no club lounges, no express ticketing and security lines, and charges for baggage.
Finally headed home after 2.5 weeks gone. There may be more kids and babies on this DTW-PBI flight than adults. Turns out sat morning of memorial day weekend is a leisure travel day.
Sitting in an empty, almost, DCA lounge headed back to Tampa. Seems to be a few canceled flights today so wonderi Ng if the traffic was low so they are consalidating?
