Was Richard even at the dinner? I know Jeff was but thought Richard had something else that evening...
not really adding anything to the conversation but I'm Crushed by this announcement......Katherine Lee don't do it!!!!
Somehow I can't recall ... why I didn't get a picture with 'Deltalina' at the DL ATL DO last year. It must been the DL kool-aid. Congrats to Katherine Lee.
You're right....there was the thing about him leaving for where-ever that night or the next day. I just assumed that you VIPs and DYKWIAs up at the winning table dined with the CEO.
She did not tweet it officially, so it did not happened... (though she responded to tweets greeting her on the engagement... )
While ms. dlroads may allow me for a one night stands*, I think Deltalina would say "one-nights are NOT allowed... (finger wagging included...) * in exchange for her chance with Mr. Clooney
I guess anything is always possible and engagements can always be broken, but if one were to gamble......
No, I had the room that adjoined to the Presidential Suite. Which was still about twice the size of a normal room, plus a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The Presidential Suite was the size of a house though. Great views from Buckhead looking to downtown Atlanta.
And you guys didn't invite us over for a party to show off the real estate? Hyatt should be so disappointed to lost the opportunity to create good will and impress Hilton squatters.
I was the only sober one in the group that went out that evening and got the honour of driving davakkar's Land Rover that night. Though all were welcome to come out that night...I made the wise decision to spend most of it texting my then-girlfriend...
If the then-girlfriend is now an ex-girlfriend, that decision might or might not have been a good one, depending on the person she is/was.
Jeff was, I was in the table with him. He personally convinced me to ask ms. dlroads to move flights to DL. And I feel so stupid. I booked more than 60K miles of travel on the basis of his promises. I feel especially stupid that I believed him that he would spend 'as much as it takes' (I don't remember his exact wording) to get the award calendar working by Feb. I guess he could not write 'as much as it takes' in the books.
There have always been snake oil salesmen who can convince you of almost anything. Look at his actions, not his words.
