Hi All, Living in the UK, I book most of my DL trips via the DM line in order to avoid paying in GBP and being subject to the foreign transaction fee. I get this email once every several months... Sometimes, I think they miss the IT issues that exist...flight notifications/courtesy reminders tend not to work and delta.com does not equal stress free award bookings... :-/
It's the power of positive thinking! (and marketing speak) It only took me 3 calls plus a transfer to the international reissue desk (who actually got it wrong) to move a segment back by a day on an upcoming award. I *could* have done it online, but I'd be far too concerned that the website would eat it! Certainly not stress-free. In all fairness the segment they were hung up on was an MK flight booked under the AF code, which is somewhat unorthodox for awards, and I actually was able to construct the full original itinerary online. If not for the garbled secure flight data I might have booked it there too.
