Please have the IT folks create & add an easily identifiable

tiny icon to show up in the "Favorites" list on our screens

Currently it only shows as the generic & I know to look

for it between 2 other icons but it would make it easier

Mine seems to still be the original generic internet e

Is the melting blueberry just a joke

Nope, the favicons are now showing up in Firefox.

Not really a melting blueberry, though. A blueberry map tack, perhaps.

    No favicon for me either.

Works for me. Firefox and Chrome display the icon in the tab and in any bookmarks I create; for some reason IE8 doesn't show it in the tab, but it does display it next to a bookmark.

It was showing in FF 4 last night; not showing in FF 3.6 or IE 8 this morning. I'll try FF 4 and chrome in a little while.

The icon is up, you might want to try clearing cache, restarting the browser. :) There is a chance I might have to make some tweaks too, I haven't had a chance to test this in IE yet, but it is working in FF3.6 for me here. I am not seeing it yet on Safari though, I'll have to look into if that is a caching thing or something else. Thanks!

    Edit:
Confirmed to be working in Safari now. Had to do a shift-refresh to get it to load though.

Still not on IE which is my only browser

Thanks for the effort but it's not all that important

I'm guessing that IE is more than likely caching the old/default favicon in your case. I'll check it out on IE on Monday, won't have access to a Windows PC until then.

For some reason IE8 refuses to display the new icon on the tabs, even after restarting and deleting temporary files repeatedly. It does, however, display it correctly in the favourites list.

I consider this to be an IE8 problem -- the favicon.ico file is set correctly on the MilePoint side.

Got it to display in IE. Cleared cached, re-saved the bookmark, restarted browser.

To me, it looks like a blue M&M with a little tail.

Brian, Watch out that it doesn't fall off the browser header and stick in your avatar!

You have a point there, tacky as it may be...

    Sir, you tacks my patience.

I must repeat- the favicon is an M&M, not a stick pin. It melts in your mouth, it doesn't poke you.

You are quite a sharp person to push this issue — and to pinpoint it on an Internet bulletin board, no less...

    stick a cork in it.

(or, at least, stick it in a cork)

    You must be confused.

Typically it is the other way around, as in to stick something in the cork...

Let me take a new tack: I don't think Randy has enough of a relationship with M&M Mars to get away with a Colorworks ripoff. :D :D :D

OTOH, when I want to show all the places I've gone, I get out a box of...ow.
