    Which promotion are you using?

Oops, sorry! I signed up with United.

I'm in the midst of doing AA then starting DL myself, I can't speak to posting times on UA but I opened my account on 3/18 and had my first batch of AA miles on 3/23.

I don't think it matters whether you wait for miles to post to cycle dollars, but I don't see the harm in waiting if you're going to be cycling $25k. If it was a smaller amount and it does take time for funds to be available in each direction you might have some urgency.

The monday after I "cycled" $100K (it took more than two weeks since I registered the AA promo), I got 50K AA miles deposited to my AA account, then I signed up the DL promo on the same day, cycled another 60K that week, and got 50K DL miles deposited to my DL account the following Monday. The next day I signed up the AAPL promo and continuing to cycle hopefully, the final 140K.

Thanks for the information! It seems as though United is being slow with the miles.

I have done this promo for myself and now I'm doing it for my husband. His 25,000 UA and DL miles have posted, but the remainder still haven't posted.
I have made an update on my blog as to the specifics as to when I funded the account and received miles. You can take a look if you want.
Here are the details that I posted:

    3/7 $25,000 Received = $50,000

People on FT are saying that the AA promo now includes people that have an account with Fidelity. You can now take advantage of of these promos every 12 months with a differen't airline/company. Someone posted a link to the new promo. I will try to find it and post the link here.

I already did AA, is UA available for existing customers as well?

Yes, I believe all 3 now, AA, Delta and United work for Existing Customers, it is in their T&C, offers are good through 2013 and 2014, depending on the program. It also states one offer per customer per 12 months.

I am in the middle of United offer, will try AA for the heck of it, and see if that 1 ever 12 month rule will be enforced or if there is some leeway.

    Good luck,

Here are the current offers I copied from my blog post:

    Fidelity offers available now:
All Fidelity offers for the airlines now state that you can be an existing Fidelity member. In the past, this was only applicable to Delta, now it is the case for American Airlines and United as well. You can take advantage of a new promotion every 12 months. According to one of my readers you can double dip with an airline & Apple promo.

American Airlines Fidelity promotional offer Linky
    offer expires September 30, 2012

United Airlines Fidelity promotional offer Linky
    offer expires October 1, 2014

Delta Airlines Fidelity promotional offer Linky
    offer expires February 14, 2013

Apple Gift Card Offer valued from $100 - $500 Linky
offer expires on June 30, 2012

Fidelity 200 Commission-Free Trades Linky offer registration expires December 31, 2012

I completed the AA promo and tried the DL promo just as they were apparently making the change, I wasn't able to double dip. Y'all think I can do the Apple promo without waiting?
  6. DealsSeeker Member

From reading the FT thread, nobody knows at this point if one can double dip with the Apple promo. Time will tell. But when I find out, I'll certainly post it here as I wish to apply too for this promo but am busy cycling now ( or trying to).

Did I read correctly that it cost $15 per transaction to deposit and widthdraw the money, or $30 round trip?
  8. asanders0001 Silver Member

    Where did you read that?
  9. kadence Silver Member

I've never paid a fee to deposit or withdraw from Fidelity. Maybe it was the other bank that was charging. I use HSBC and they don't charge either. Got my 50k United but still waiting for the last 15k delta to post. I will try the united next
  10. kadence Silver Member

I've read that people were successful with triple dips, American, Delta & Apple.
  11. asanders0001 Silver Member

Yeah I have never paid a fee to transfer money, nor have I seen anything about that in the term and conditions.

I did the old AA promotion back in Nov. Will I have to wait until November to sign up for UA? Or did the new terms reset the 12 month clock? => will I qualify if I apply now? Any datapoints on this?
  13. smieri Member

Maybe I misunderstood this from the fee structure:
"Bank Wire $15 per transaction; waived for households that meet certain asset and trade minimums at Fidelity"
    • Original Member

    gleff Co-founder

Wires are $15 but ACH transactions are free
  14. smieri Member

Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Came across this thread a little late, so appreciate the updated links :)
I had an old inactive Fidelity account, so tried the "fund existing account" option. Then I was a bit surprised that Fidelity asked for my SSN on the sign-up page (i was already logged into the account). Was that sctrictly to insure the correct linkage between the Fidelity account and the miles credit, or will they also report the mile awards as income?
I'd love to hear if the folks who applied last year got the 1099 forms for their miles.

I am in the middle of the Delta promotion but the cycling doesn't seem to be working. Only 15k miles after cycling around 90k, then when 50k was in there at one time I was credited with another 10k. It seems like only the true balance at one time is counting for me. Maybe it will catch up later, but after weeks of no deposits, I got the additional 10k as soon as I had 50k in at one time. We'll keep you posted.

at the Fidelity FT board I have been hearing churners getting frozen out,but so far only two of them and who knows what they did, draw it to zero or withdrawl funds with out everything clearing yet....I guess the only way to know is either wait for more new info or try your own method for yourself. I did hear someone did have his 50k UA clear but he left it for the whole 2 weeks no cycling....

Most likely you will be apple to do the apple promo because it seems to be independence of the miles, I added it recently and never recieved a reject email...and that was after the 3/30 when there where changes made
