And if perry — who contributed an enormous number of prizes to the "official" raffle from his memorabilia business — says someone is gracious and generous you know it's true!

I think that would be a great idea. There are a few people I missed that I would have liked to met on this trip.

I would vote for an option to have your MilePoint user name printed in large letters on your badge and also, possibly, your avatar (or a special avatar you supply when you register, for those who change their avatars frequently).

Totally agree that perryplatypus rocks! (as does his stuffed traveling companion!) This event was so much fun, though I do agree with Will that sleep is good after a jam packed event like this. Loved heading into the city with about 14 folks for dinner Saturday night, loved meeting lots of great new folks, had a blast hanging out with old friends, and of course loved learning a few new tips! Hope to see many of you at the SMD4 Launch Party, on SMD4, at the Chicago Seminars, and of course at the next FTU in LA!

That would be a great idea. Given how much we are tried to the usernames it's rather surprising they did not do that

    Right on!

Sigh. Are you ever going to let me stay home for more than a day? ;)

We all agree with this, I think. We were all talking about that during the whole weekend. We need our real names, not just the ones in our passports!!

This weekend I met several people for the first ime, including some I'd met but did not know. Frankly the weekend was brilliant for me! I will not mention any specific names because there are too many I'd miss. My Saturday dinner companions were an amazingly interesting group, and I learned lots of interesting and useful things for all of you. mommypoints created fascinating breakfast discussions that helped me meet several more people. (I broke my no-name rule for her, because she organizes conversations so effortlessly.

Of course my mind is regularly blown away when i meet my fellow Brazilian-Americans.

    Three comments....
    1. I am glad that I did not make use of the sauna at the Renaissance and that you had that experience for yourself.
    2. I like the suggestion of real names/photos as well as the later suggestion of MilePoint names on badges. I used my Freddies badge folded over for the other events so that people would know who I was.
    3. Who is that incredibly fun looking fellow in your profile picture with you and Randy? I bet he was a good person to meet!

It was great to meet you too, Jeff. p.s. the sauna experience was at the Sheraton Meadowlands. Wasn't that you? (ha ha ha!)

Here's a way to do it with express (not public transit) bus:

NYC Airporter LGA to Port Authority, Manhattan:

...at the Port Authority Bus Terminal the Newark Airport Express ... take you directly to Newark Airport. Buses to Newark Airport depart every 15 minutes from the Port Authority Bus Terminal...

Just wanted to thank everyone who bought a raffle ticket from me or Melinda (Firefly). Tremendous generosity, which has become a trademark for our groupings. Glad we were able to keep that going and were able to introduce new folks to this important part of our large gatherings.

    See you soon again!

You did a fantastic job selling those tickets. Thank you to you!

Good idea. I thought about clipping my Avatar to the ID holder but never had a chance to print out the photo. I did see that some people added their forum or blogger name under their real name on the tag.

I had a great time hanging with everyone and I can't wait until LA!

That's very kind, but I really didn't do much beyond be available. People readily sought me out, so the kudos go to the attendees. Besides, it was an easy way to meet folks. You actually had to prepare and to be on point, so to write.

If you travel in place like Germany or Switzerland (and also Scandinavia I think) it is entirely normal for men and women to use a sauna naked together, even in a hotel fitness center. The people in these countries are less prudish and not ashamed of the natural state of their body. It's not sexual in the slightest.
