FT University returns to NYC area April 27th-29th!

Nah, we'll just blame all the delays on Tommy. He's on a plane for the next billion hours, so he can't complain.

The negotiating part is pretty much done. We're trying to cobble together the last few pieces and have something up shortly. Please accept my apologies if everything is not perfect from minute one. HOM is working on a bang-up registration system which we'll be transitioning to soon.

TEMPORARY REGISTRATION INFO

We're going to be moving to a more permanent system, but we understand that people need to make plane reservations and cement plans. So, we have a link set up for registration right now before we move to our new system. More detailed info coming, but here's what we know for sure:

Where: Sheraton Meadowlands

When: Saturday, April 28th and Sunday April 29th with a cocktail reception on Friday the 27th for those staying at Sheraton Meadowlands.

What's Included: General session and lunch on both Saturday and Sunday, 9am-4pm.

Price: $99

Rooms: $129 a night, single or double occupancy

Is the Sheraton Meadowlands reasonably transit accessible for those of us who may be in Manhattan and carless?

Google maps directions show about 1.5 hours in transit from midtown.

You should confirm with them directly, but I believe the hotel runs a shuttle from the Secaucus NJ Transit station (which you can access from Penn Station).

I will likely be driving from Manhattan and if so I can carry four additional people (plus two more if they don't mind sitting on the jumper seat in the back) assuming that you're willing to meet at a mutually convenient location and accommodate yourself to my schedule (which will probably be "go at the beginning and leave at the end").

No link for hotel reservations yet. Should have that soon. The Sheraton is reasonably accessible via public transportation, but you may have to cab the last leg from the train.

Ed, the link appears to indicate that payment can be made by credit card or paypal, but when you click through it only goes to paypal. can you verify that paypal will (or won't) be the only means of payment?

Just registered. The Meadowlands is a much quicker drive for me than going all the way into the city. Looking forward to the event!

When I stayed there on a weekend, but there was a football game that same day, there was a shuttle train that went to a station closer to the hotel and stadium (Meadowlands?), which is where the hotel shuttle came. I took the train from NY Penn to Secaucus, then the Meadowlands adjunct, then phoned the hotel when I arrived at that station.
