After clearing the Global Entry kiosk at SFO's Intl Terminal I noticed my photograph was printed on the transaction receipt. This was the first time I'd seen the photograph feature. Anyone else seeing this at other Global Entry locations?
Makes a lot of sense. Should limit the number of times the folks at Customs ask to see the passport to ensure it is the same person. I'll be going through at MCO in 9 days. I can try to remember to report back then.
MCO did have the photo. The system also didn't ask what flight I came in on, though that info was on the stub.
I used it for the first time at IAH a few days ago and it had the photograph, already knew my flight info, and no one asked for my passport.
I will be going through in Miami in a week and will report if mine shows a photograph. It never has in the past.
MCO took the new photo on me. I'm a little tall for the camera in the kiosk so I have to bend down for the retina or face scan. In the process of bending down while trying to keep eye contact, and not knowing a picture was going to be printed caught me in quite the derp moment. The final customs guy thought it was funny and told me that I'm much better looking in person.
My photograph was so washed out I looked like a ghost. My traveling partner had half of his face cut off by the edge of the photograph's cropping. The immigration officer just laughed at the photos.
That's something I've thought about doing....making some deranged-looking face at the camera or crossing my eyes or something. Knowing my luck, I'd run into the biggest CBP crank and get the business.
A few weeks back at YVR, the immigration agent commented how I "looked like I was falling asleep" because of course I was looking down at the screen reading the instructions to look up at the camera and commented that pretty much everyone looked like that. I went through a couple weeks later, and was careful to look up. I think it was the same agent, so I asked him if I'd done a better job that time. He said he appreciated it
