Agreed, my use of ambiguity was at best ambiguous and most likely plain wrong ;)

Very weak. I have 4 nights already booked during the promo period, not so sure I will book a fifth one just to get a 5K bonus.

Yeah the bonus points are nice if you already have nights booked, but I would not move any nights or stays over to Hyatt for this. I have 6 booked in that time but I certainly won't waste $$ booking 4 more.

This isn't directed at any particular post, but I don't quite understand why there are so many complaints about this promo.

Is it mattress run worthy? Probably not. Then again, I don't think mattress run worthy promos are all that profitable to Hyatt, so maybe we need to adjust expectations a bit.

Is it worth switching stays you are planning or have already planned to Hyatt? Depends on what you can get at other hotels - a classic case of YMMV. It's certainly better than the Marriott MegaBonus promo I got - 15 nights to get lots of points - since Hyatt allows bonus points in smaller increments.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind some some help with qualifying nights or stays instead of/in addition to bonus points. ;)

Anyone know how long the Hyatt status would take to go into effect? I'd jump here (looking to get some status for a four night stay in a few weeks) and that plus GOGO plus UA miles plus some others would make this a nice little deal/package.

Just a reminder to folks planning on staying at Hyatt properties this fall that this promotion is fully active. Don't forget to register. :)

I would guess some of the negativity still has to due with how generous HGP was in the past. The promos of the last year and half haven't been anywhere near as lucrative as they used to be.

Combine that with less coverage and many people have to go out of their way to get to a Hyatt.

With that said, I still plan on re-qualifying for Diamond so I'll take the bonus points that I can eek out of this promo.

For 20% bonus for card members of Hyatt Visa, do you have to use it for payment or just be a card member?

In the past, you just had to be a card member.
