Here's the link http://www.hyatthotels.hyatt.com/partnerchange -- imagine this is up early since I haven't otherwise seen an announcement. They're dropping Aeroplan, Alaska, Frontier, and US Airways. I'm only bummed about US Airways since fixed mileage earning on a cheap one-night stay is more valluable than points, and since it was an easy hit for me in the annual Grand Slam promo. Otherwise doesn't seem huge though I admit I like to see more notice than this, if you have been considering transferring points to miles in one of these programs better get on that quick!
Choice is always good, and so this isn't good news, obviously. I wonder what triggered this -- did these programs raise their prices for miles?
*sigh* I must be some sort of masochist ... more and more reason to ditch Errorplan and yet I stick with them
I don't fly much but when I do it's usually either Southwest or Alaska. My two main hotel programs are Hyatt and Hilton. Hilton dropped Southwest last year. Now Hyatt is going to drop Alaska? Less options is not good!
