Oh goodie! I just got yet another invitation to join e-rewards. This one's courtesy of Hertz but doesn't offer a special bonus. Who needs?
Didn't that happen last year? AAA Carolinas has become the El Dorado of the Grand Slam Promo. Ever pursued, ever vanishing over the horizon. Andyandy
I was on that shuttle too. Where did you sit? Still waiting for my hit on that as well. Track-it-Back posted... So I am 6 out of 19. I am hoping some more of these get posted by Tuesday. I am holding off on AR to see if a) the Trivia points count, and b) to see if non-linked shows (through the US portal) count as hits. I could never find exactly where to enter a DM number on SkyMall so I called customer service. It was a good thing that I did. The item I had chosen (the medium dog collar) was out of stock (lots of sales I guess) and so were the next two items I picked (trying to find something I could use). I finally ended up with something else that was not too, too pricey (7.99) and the CSR made sure my DM miles number was included on the order. So, for those of you who order and may feel that your item may not be in stock, you can always call and check on your order after placement. She did have all of my original order details right in front of her - I called before I hit 'submit.' She could not have been any more helpful throughout the entire conversation. 1-800-SKYMALL
I ordered the TSA mini key lock for $4.99 + shipping. I got an email today to let me know that it shipped yesterday. I figured that it might be a somewhat practical item.
About the only things of ours which have not posted are Dividend miles toolbar plus purchase, Biscoff & SPG transfer. Does anyone with past experience of this promotion know if when they do the sweep on the 28th and the hits post, whether it will show what hits count or does it just list a total number of hits and bonus miles associated? We are at 18 hits for DH and 14 for myself, just getting to that territory where the bonuses start to look real juicy. I know if we make 20 we will make 24, then once it's 24 that 28 is looking so near. It sure is addictive.
I agree with you 100%... it's a really well-engineered promo where they know that most people will start off with the "easy" and cheap hits early on, but by the time you're done with those you're really close to the big juicy bonuses. Then you start thinking that it wouldn't be that big of a deal to rent a few cars or plan a stay or two just to get those next 4 hits. Their partners have to love them for it though...
Christmas is here! Delivered today: 5 pounds of Biscoff Spread (100 individual-size containers, weight rounded up) 4 calling birds bell 3 French hens bell 2 pairs of Anna's cookies and a giant padded carabiner clip (stroller hook from SkyMall)
I've become a Biscoff spread addict. Love the stuff, will love it more when the hit posts. I think this is a very well constructed promotion. A lot of thought obviously goes into it. However, I do wish you could get a hit for actually flying on US Airways during this period or at least making a booking.
Here's my Sky Mall update: I accessed Sky Mall from the partner link on the US Airways website. Went all the way through to check out, and didn't see a place to enter my DM#. So I called Sky Mall, and she told me you have to go to www.skymall.com/usairways or www.skymall.com/dividendmiles. When you do either of those, you should see a US Airways logo near the top of the page, and a banner that says "Earn 3 Dividend Miles for every dollar you spend! DETAILS" (whole think is a link). Just for kicks, I clicked "Details" and it described earning miles...I then clicked the "continue shopping" button at the bottom of the message. This time when I checked out, there was a field to enter my DM#. It had a button next to it that said "Apply". When I entered my # and clicked "Apply", the page refreshed. As soon as it refreshed, I noticed right above my grand total dollar amount, it now said "Flight fund earned = 15" (which are the miles I earned...$5 purchase @ 3 miles/dollar). Then I hit "Submit" to finalize the order. I'm pretty confident now that my number was successfully associated with my order (and in fact, my receipt even says "Flight Fund = 15" as well).
Posted today: 9/16/2011 09/22/11 HERTZ CAR RENTAL BONUS 50 9/16/2011 09/22/11 HERTZ DOUBLE MILE OFFER 50 This was for my non-airport HLE rental last Friday. I'm picking up another tomorrow.
Interesting Hertz datapoint. Turns out I had entered my wife's DM number (by mistake) in my Hertz profile and today the (50) miles posted into her account for an HLE rental that I had on 09/15. So looks like we wont have to drag our (unwilling) spouses into the local car rental offices!
I think my spouse is willing to a point but I know he gets tired of my addiction, however he enjoys it when we are sitting up front slurping on the champers.
FYI, OfficeMax finally slept off the bender and fixed their landing page from the US link. Go get 'em.
Exactly... some people might think it's overkill or too much work, but that quickly goes away when you show them what a first class ticket can cost and how you can get a couple with just a few clicks.
hmmm, does this mean the Officemax order I made last week will not get DMs and qualify for as a hit?!?
What I want to know is, how come it took until I looked at pictures after the Do that I realized who you are... must have had to do with the hair being down.... and no baby carrier on back But we spoke quite a bit.... Yes, the +1 would never go to this trouble. I ran his program last year up to a respectable 24 hits. This year maybe only to 20.
Go ahead and call CSR once the purchase has been confirmed/shipped.... just to verify that all of your information is 'in place'.
