Last week, I think that they had a number of items that got 100% back in MaxRewards. Not this week, though.
Am I missing something...I can't find my "hit total" on the US Airways website? I'm using the spreadsheet for ny own tracking, surely US Airways is tracking these somewhere. Thanks, Bald Army Guy
You're not missing a thing, sadly. US Airways has never provided a way to continuously track GS activities.
For OfficeMax, you can make use of a $25 credit (with $25 spend) available on the American Express Open cards (my Business Gold was eligible for it automatically).
If the Priority Club / OMX T&Cs are any indication (and I suspect that they are), then gift cards are ineligible. From the PC website: Terms and Conditions: Please allow 6-8 weeks for your points to be posted to your account. Points will be awarded based on the actual purchase amount, excluding sales tax, duties, gift wrapping, shipping and handling; and excluding returns and credit card fraud. Offer valid for purchases made through www.priorityclub.com/officemax ONLY and not at retail stores, catalog orders or phone orders. This offer is not valid toward the purchase of online gift cards. Members must provide their Priority Club® member number to receive points.
I am about to do my first rental car churn this weekend. I have no need for the car I am renting. Have/do you just rent the car at the desk, go out to the garage and walk right up to the return area, or do you just do everything at the desk once you rent the car??? Want to do this the easiest way possible for me and the rental car company.
Yes and no. While the spreadsheet is essential for planning and tracking the activities we think we have done (as are PDFs of activity confirmations), the only thing that really matters is what US Airways sees. And they don't provide any clarity on that.
Do you have to sign up for this separately? I am only seeing 5% off of a $100 purchase on my OPEN Savings page. Of course it could be targeted per card.
Arrangements vary with each manager. Talk to the manager and explain you're participating in a mileage earning promotion and will be renting ? cars on a daily/weekly basis. Then you'll know what you have to do. In 2010 when you could do multiple rentals on the same day, I did my 6 and didn't have to touch the cars. The manager "checked them back in" a couple of hours later to avoid any problems. To simplify your rentals, do it all online and join the rewards program for the car rental company. Be sure to pick usair as your choice for reward and put in your usair #. Always check to see that your ff# is on your receipt.
Thanks for the advice. Since I am doing 5 of the 6 with Dollar, I will talk to their manager on Saturday when I pick up my first car.
I just called the number of the back of the card and the rep was able to confirm it right away (she said its available automatically on all OPEN cards)

Not that I don't trust you, but that's quite a bit of info to forward to someone you don't know. Oh, and I don't trust you. Seriously though, unless you're using a virtual card with a preset limit that you can cancel after all this is done, that's a lot of information that's gonna be floating out there for someone else to use.
No need to Trust me as Im not the owner of the Hotel! nor will I be seeing any of the info anyone sends to him! Now have you ever eaten in a restaurant where the waiter brings you the check and you present your CC and he walks away with it, does the transaction and brings you back a slip to sign and your CC? well how do you know that they didnt Scan your CC, btw clerks at very high end Dept Stores have put a customers CCs thru a scanner then processed the sale when checking into a hotel dont you give them your CC do you watch them Every second to make sure they didnt scan it and write down the security code, what Im saying is multiple times most likely Every day you are providing someone with the same info yet seem to Trust them w/o knowuing them You dont want to do it Dont, I put it out there in case anyone wants to , yes I posted it on FT and know many that have already Faxed the Hotel with the info btw once a person gets all the Stays they want nothing stops them from calling the CC and saying I lost it please send me a new 1 , presto new # and code, just tell them so far you didnt see any charge that you didnt make and best to use a CC that you dont have Automatic payments attached to so that way theres nothing to CX on your part and reset up
from what I remember they have a different set up, the person goes over to a SS desk and then gets assigned a van , most every place else the vans are already assigned Itw orked last year so hopefully this yr as well since teh setup is still the same way If not no $ lost as following a link and using your head gets you a $10 rebate, but since you will need to send over some personal info I'll assume you arent interested. Yes I did it and already got the email my check is in the mail, 1 SS hit for $0 last year it cost $9 and the check was $10, Obama is killing the economy
Understand that the first Grand Slam points start getting awarded around the 28th of September. Also, don't forget the Avis 3,000 milie promotion still going on too - much better then 500 miles. https://www.avis.com/car-rental/con...en-021051&MID=avis.com_usairpreferred2011
Another car rental option to check out (Avis one above is definitely better for longer term rentals!) - I was going to do the Alamo code that gave 500 miles but required Saturday night rental. I noticed today there is a link from my US Air account page "Special offers for Chairmen's members" - there I found a different code that gives 3x miles and I can't find anything that requires a Saturday night stay, so renting for a Sunday afternoon in PVD is 21.39 ai. Alamo says on their site that a regular rental is 250 US miles, so at 3x, this has the potential of 750 miles. I'm going to try it this Sunday, but could take a bit to see about the miles depending on how long they take to post. I don't know how linked it is to actual status, so if you aren't CP, YMMV, but if you have a different status, you might check that page to see if there are any bonuses that may help out your GS.

There's also an FTD promo code there that gives 20 miles/$ plus 300 bonus miles. That's the best that I've seen unless the base price of your purchase is over around $55. The Platinum offers include a Triple Miles promo for both Alamo and National.
That's great - I'll see if I can confirm the 750 miles when I go to the airport on Sunday and post what I find out.
