All in I spent five weeks in South Africa. The first time was on a RTW trip and CPT was a stopover for a week. I spent the time visiting the environs of Cape Town.

The second time, I took a month trip to visit SA on a cultural and tourist tour. It was the trip of a lifetime.!!!!

Cant believe I didn't recognize it (very different from that side) as I lived there for 4 moths in 2009!
I like wilderness beach area and garden route better than the city though for scenic beauty- and Prince Albert area. franschhoek better as a town

No it was taken in South Africa....along the peninsula south of Cape Town.

Excellent, I was there recently. I thought it looks familiar. Beautiful area of the world. Reminds me of home here in northern california a lot.

Yes, it is a bird. It may be a clue for an ornithologist, but not the clue to which I was referring.

I did a search on the condor. There are condors in California. Is it a mountain range in California?
