Ja, I've run into that on a bunch of AA flights. The cookies at 09:55 sans nuts would be just fine. I think AA should wait until early afternoon for the nut service though. :)

Good comparison and one has to wonder why some of these points weren't used by AA more strongly in marketing (of course, I don't expect them to make the waitlist comparison but the others are fair game). On the other hand, "AA, our elite waitlists are shorter" has a good ring to it.

I'm in DC now after an experience for the record books. On the short run of STL-DCA, after a mini bottle of bubbly loosened my inhibitions at 34,000 feet, I experienced the nirvana of having my throat stuffed with a thick slab of manly meat not once but TWICE, with a perfectly creamy crescendo each time.

That's right, AA served the cheeseburger for lunch, and I got seconds!

Come on.. Nuts and cookies at 1030AM? That's pretty lame and UA beats that hands down

And that was how it was before the tornado.

STL is gloomy on a good day since TWA went away.

Did you read what I wrote (and you quoted)? I said " The cookies at 09:55 sans nuts would be just fine"

I read you the first time. To have chocolate chip cookies is not something I would typically eat at 1030AM, but it might be OK for you ;)

As an FYI, only a very few in F accepted the cookies. How about a basket of various snacks and fruits?

I'm Austrian. We can eat something sweet at any time of the day. But I think fresh fruit would be much better.

At least we agree that the serving of nuts at that time of day is strange. :)

Considering Americans often enjoy things like pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, sugary cereals, pop tarts, etc for breakfast, I don't think it's a "sweet" issue. It's probably more of a quantity/quality issue. :)

Certainly takes the "warm nuts" scenarios a few exits farther down Inuendo Freeway.

Haven't seen those for a while. Nice to see they're back.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the burger isn't better than a number of AA options. But, as a guy with ultra-high cholesterol, if I'm going to spring for a burger, I'll take one with a nice red center. There's just no way to do that on a domestic flight.

At least, not with how they prepare the food. It is actually doable, but it requires special equipment, and FAs trained in how to cook it

Yeah, I don't think the domestic aircraft really have the equipment to do so. That being said, I think AA does a decent job pulling off a burger in a tough environment. There are a few meals they prepare that I'm really not fond of, but most of them are pretty good. And, a pretty solid variety.

The burger is decent. The only thing I've encountered that really was just not presented or put together well is that damn quesadilla.
