How did I miss being an Original Member?

Like many people here, I was initially upset to see some labelled as Original Members but not others because I of course want to be an Original Member. It's reassuring that we can earn status points and get that designation, hopefully quickly.

108 posts isn't that hard to reach. You just need to be a social butterfly :p Looking forward to more of your travelogue posts

My connection to my printer died. I need to print some pix so I can design a piece.
It originally had wifi, that went out six months ago so I ran an ethernet cord, but now it lost the network.
    Grrr.

Yay! I found the problem. I've got a bad port on my router, I'd tried a computer in that port this morning and it didnt' work, swapped it with the printer. I found one free port (I thought they were all taken, but one just had a loose cable for occasional use with a laptop), plugged in there and I've got my printer back. Now I can do some work.

The requirements have been raised: with 30 status points, I'm now a Member, no longer New, but not yet Original.

Yay! I made it, and with only 30 status points. I guess I was too impatient for the system to update. However, I suspect that my 30 status points were updated in one sweep but the status didn't move up until the next sweep, an hour later. Now I'm proud to be Original like so many of my friends.

If we are all Originals, then we aren't unique anymore and just become Copies and not Originals....[IMG]

Ahhh, yes. For the time being. But once the beta testing is over, then the status comes back!

Are you sure? I saw someone make original this afternoon with 25. I also see a lot of people get a 10 point bonus from 20, so they leapfrog 25, therefore becoming Original at 30.
(on the other hand, some Originals are 29 forever)

If I'm not an Original, can I instead be a Kaapi?[IMG]

not that there is a way to quote your signature but i do like it A LOT. though i hadn't thought of it, i do fit that description. what are we going to do now? LOL

To quote a sig, just highlight it, copy and paste into your reply. Then, highlight it in your reply, click the " quote icon in the tool bar above the reply window.

Or click the "quote icon first, then paste into the middle of the quotes. That's probably easier.

Actually I tend to have a lowish post count, here and on other forums I frequent... cest la vie for me re "Original Member"

MP is very social and sometimes hard to fathom as a result of many people posting and posting and posting and liking and liking (you get the idea) :)

Welcome to MP, milemaster! I bet you aren't a mile newbie, master :)

And the secret plan is (perhaps) to include more on the social aspects and less on post count (YMMV)
