I have read this article too, sadly, I found nothing new!

I figured it might be useful for those who are newer to the hotel 'game.'

When I looked at it, I was suspicious about all those claims of late checkouts for low tier elites. I suspect that this must mean late checkout when avaialable, not guaranteed, an important distinction.

Actually, there's at least one error in the article -- it says you can get to the lowest level of elite status with just four stays. At Hiltons there are ways to get gold with as few as four stays and the last time I looked silver was below gold -- with them at least.

That one's just a few week's old -- there have been others and they get a lot of band width on FT.
