OK, today is my BD, yea! But I loathe getting another year older. I thought of getting on a AA flight next Friday to fly CLE-ORD-NRT for $700ai. BF talked me out of it. It would just be for a weekend trip. I would return on Feb. 21st. Have I lost my mind? I think the deal is probably gone now. He could not go d/t his teaching schedule at the university. It would be in coach. I have no status with AA, so no u/g possible. I get these updates from daily emails from airfarewatchdog; that is where I saw the CLE-ORD-NRT deal. The next time I could get away is end of March, where I have a weeks vacation lined up as I applied for a special MRC DHS training, but was not selected. I need more experience in disaster training. There have been no opportunities for trainings here. Thank you for your time. At least I'm getting a nice dinner tonight, and red velvet cake!
Birthdays are like New Years. When I was 20, and living in Italy, on new years day I ran into a 96 year old whom I knew. I wished him a happy new year, and he replied "Si, and that's one more for me and one less for you". I always liked that, but I also always wondered, at what point in your life does it change from one less to one more?
Cosmo has never been introduced to a cat, but likes most dogs, except the neighbor, "Bella", who is a pit-mix and very territorial. But his friend is a giant Pyr.
Enjoy your birthday! I'd say jump on that NRT deal for March... it's been awhile since I've seen NRT fares like that on AA.
Just came back from dinner. Thai shrimp, grilled trout, cauliflower mash, grilled squash, chocolate lava cake with ice cream, and of course.... mojitos! Totally stuffed. Received a very nice Eddie Bauer coat, beautiful bookends (which I wanted), and whatever I wanted to do today. Spent time at the range with my new 9mm Taurus and my trusty XD 45. BTW, I have excellent marksmanship! OK, I'm a bit bragging.
I am doing just fine, as I had Friday off (vacation day) and tomorrow is a legal holiday. but, the weather is going south: snow, sleet, and who knows what else is coming my way in CLE.
It sure is! I try to attend many concerts, mostly hard rock and metal. One of my favorites is coming this may; Amon Amarth.
