I searched on Google and came up with maybe answers, but I wonder if any of you have had this experience. Upgraded my wife to an I-phone, and activated her two email addresses. I had to change her settings on her PC so it stopped downloading old emails, but after finally getting that sorted out I got 5 ghost emails, dated Dec 31 1969 and no sender and no message content. They can't be deleted moved or anything. Just wondering if anyone here has had that issue and knows what the fix is. Thanks!
There are a lot of variables with email, so it would be helpful to know the service provider and server type (POP or IMAP). Have you tried accessing the email account from the PC to try and delete the ghost emails there? I really can't think of a good reason why the iPhone wouldn't let you delete them, and I suspect they'll disappear eventually.
I've had those on various email accounts over the years, and I don't have Verizon or Gmail. They eventually go away on their own.
