Sure write me a script that will talk to people. I have been sitting in front of the computer whole day responding to alerts and replies. You don't have to be resourceful or know how to write a script (if that's even possible). All you need is just a bit of dedication or obsession.

If not in the post, where would content follow?

Given that contraint, I would vote for "obsession". However, I'm a great fan of wacky conspiracy theories.

Does responding to alerts do anything? Should I do something about my backlog of 1,672 alerts?

What we need is a special button that would allow us to like every post on MP.
Then we would arrange for everyone on MP to hit the like all button at the same time.
That would send us all to someplace very far where no airline flies.
(or at least to the frig for a snack, with a big smile on our faces)
