Congrats, during our travels we found that IC properties have offered always fantastic services and warmth towards guests and have never had complaints on the service side of things, rooms and locations are very spot on too.
I have not stayed at either Intercontinental property on Bora Bora. Though having been to Bora Bora I would be surprised to see any property there earn best service honors, except that this hotel won in the French Polynesia category which IMHO is damning with faint praise

My husband and I stayed there last year on our anniversary. The property itself was absolutely stunning and perfect in every possible way. The service...not so much .
I have stayed at Thalasso twice. Service was good to very good, not great. But I don't care for the over-bearing and pretentious "5-star" type of service, so I was perfectly happy. And the resort and setting are spectacular.
