Should be interesting to see how things develop with regards to Peach and Air Asia Japan in the mix...

They won't be able to make much of an impact domestically until they grow their fleet to provide reliable and convenient schedules though. They probably can take on the price sensitive leisure travelers market at the get go but not so much on the high margin business travelers market

but it's not done yet right. When's the finish date? I want Skymark to move out of JAL's way ASAP...hate to see all those yellow signs and counters when I check in for JAL domestic flights at NRT :p

Hmm we`ll i think this is good news but i guess i`ll be interested to see how Peach goes first. I pray that they get the domestic flights to connect up from those coming in from Australia as at the moment you have to spend a night in NRT if you come in from Cairns with Jetstar as it arrives too late to connect to anything domestic.

2 hours is enough isn't it? Is that the MCT or 3 hours?

And with curfew at NRT, not sure how much domestic connections they can provide for a late arrival flight like this

Cutting it fine if you delayed in immigration or flight is delayed.

Supposedly the local governments indicated a couple years ago that they would be OK with turning NRT into a 24-hour airport, but no plan has been made to do so yet. I'd imagine that they could squeeze a few more passenger flights amidst the evening cargo traffic between 8 and 10 PM, though.
