Good morning all. Just wondering if anyone else has installed Jelly Bean yet. I wasn't thinking it would be such a change from ICS but am pleasantly surprised. ICS changed the way I use my phone. JB has gone and done that again. The voice recognition is vastly improved and now works "offline" as well. It has gotten to the point where I can pretty well write an entire document with it. Google Now is cool. It isn't the greatest thing ever as the number of cards available are rather small, but the potential is there. So far no major issues with it. VanirBean v3 at this point on my VZ Galaxy Nexus.
I started using it yesterday, but I never used ICS, so it's difficult for me to comment on the differences beyond what Google pointed out in the Google IO keynote. But yes, voice search and Now are cool.
the new Google 7" tablet sounds great, just what I want, was about to go for the Samsung 7", but will certainly wait for this...
I'm sorry, but if I were to develop an OS, I would never call it a jelly bean (or Donut, Fro-Yo, Eclair)
Wasn't "Me" supposed to be "Millenium"? Don't get me wrong- I get the creativity aspect of it. It just sounds silly (but funny)
If you see the Google guys who work on it, it kind of is a reflection of the team. Creative, a bit silly sometimes, fun loving, great engineers... Look at the Google Doodles for another example of "Google Fun". And they also make for great little gifts: (not sure why it isn't shown with the correct orientation. MacOS Preview recognizes it as a portrait photo) Apple chose big cats for their MacOS versions -- is that more "enterprisey"?
