    We have just passed $3,000,000!!!:D:D:D

    Let the pledge fulfillments begin!!!

I have fulfilled my pledge by joining Team Captain Iolaire on a loan to Zahid. His loan period expires in 2 1/2 hours. Why don't we use some pledge money to help close out the expiring loans of folks cursed with the Y chromosome.

Zahid's loan was not fully funded.:(

Undaunted by this I have loaned the refunded sum to assist Faridun the Farmer in Tajikistan. I had promised my mentor bobsgt to continue loaning funds to folks in countries ending in -stan due to our shared fondness for the Sons of the Desert.:)

Pledge for $ 3 million fulfilled redux.

At the rate we are loaning $ 4 million may be reached by Team Captain jbcarioca's birthday in September.

That would be a most excellent birthday present. I, too, am lending to 'stans, in which definition I include Armenia.

I'm glad you are throwing some love to the people of Armenia.

Did you know me when I lived in Iran? I don't think so!

Captain jbc I don't even know you when you live on MP.

BTW, the love to Armenia does not include when you shop for Kardashian branded products.

If you stayed a little longer at the Kiva Do.....

<if it was not for my laser beam focus to look out for you, I would have missed meeting yourself and the lovely Mrs. Tondoleo also!>

He can redeem himself at the next Kiva Do. :)

Don't buy them and don't wish to know who they/he/she may be. I support Armenians in Armenia and formerly supported several who lived in Tehran. However, the ones I supported at that time were not likely candidates for Kiva loans. They, some anyway, were definitely lovable.

What continues to amaze me is the performance compared to teams 10x and 20x our size.

Indeed! I think that within 8 to 12 months we'll be the #2 team. That's really incredible considering when we started.

And also considering the size of our team compared with the top two teams! :p

Just reloaned my small available amount. Didn't remember to look to see the matching loan, but may have to dig out my credit card from where it is trying to hide from me, to make another loan. Just so I can see the match, you understand.

And I see I need to spread my spending around some more..

The matching loans are now all used up, and your technique of matching yourself is an excellent idea. I shall try it myself. While matching was happening there was no easily visible way to see the match. Kiva is working on software changes to make it easy and obvious to see.

Actually, $100,000. The $75,000 was gone in four days, so another $25,000 was added and that was gone in less than a day. We seem to be an enthusiastic group?!:D:eek:

If you look carefully one of the words that can be formed by the letters in enthhusiastic is "nuts". That is what some may call our group of lenders.:)
