Kiva Lending Team [free launch party spots]

    For those that might be new to Milepoint, the Kiva Lending Team has been a bright star in our young future. This growing band of members has loaned out in microloans over $2.7 million in just over the last year — often at $25 per loan.

    The goal of this team is always to help others. SO, why not help those interested in both the launch party of the SMD4, as well as those interested in actually booking a ticket on the SMD4**.

    So, here's what we can do right now. The Kiva Lending Team has arranged to secure 5 more free passes to attend the launch party of the SMD4 in Washington, DC on Saturday evening June 2nd.

    If you are on the waiting list and are an active member of the Kiva Lending Team here on Milepoint, post in this thread and we will pick five lucky random winners so they can attend the launch party. To be deemed active, you must belong to the team and have made at least one loan. For those not yet on the team, you too are eligible. Sign up for the team HERE, make a microloan (as little as $25) and you'll be eligible.

    WINNERS of the random draw for a confirmed spot to the SMD4 launch party were chosen at noon MT on Monday, May 21st: jrp2, PLUS_1, MrAOK**, cwpfly and yunicorner.


    (**Minnesota Bruin was first winner for the launch party but could not attend and a redraw for a new winner was selected with MrAOK coming up lucky)

    To be eligible, you must post only once in this thread that you are a current member or have recently joined the Milepoint Kiva Lending Team (see link above) and have made a loan to help others.

    Good luck to all for these 5 spots to the launch party.

    ** The Kiva Lending Team also has arranged to provide a few early booking opportunities for the SMD4, so joining now and making a loan might be a really, really good idea for later on as well. Just sayin'.

    So glad to see the continued generosity of the MilePoint Kiva team, Randy. I am an active member of the MP Kiva Team, but I'm already confirmed for the party, so I don't need a space. Just wanted to say thanks for all that you have done and continue to do to help others in so many ways!

    :) I'm in - I see so many here with Kiva logo's and I finally took the time to find out what it is all about and join in. What a wonderful thing!

    P.S. I did buy a goat last year for a family (seriously). I like to actually 'see' where my contributions are going. I am going to do a lot of research on the Kiva recipients....thank you so much

    I'm a member of Kiva, and I'm on the party waitlist... so I just joined the Milepoint team. (How did I not know about that before?!)

    While I was on Kiva, something caught my eye so I made a new loan to help out a group of women who do motorcycle repair in Vietnam. (How cool is that?! :))
