Actually working for Amtrak. Had a meeting at their Division HQ. While they frown on travelling on "the other guys", a train from SC to Oakland was not in the cards for me.

Very nice. Have used Jack London Square many times coming in from NYC, usually via PDX to get onto the Builder and CS on the old Explore America $299 3 stops in 45 days fares.

Anyone arriving at SFO around 6pm tonight? I'd be happy to share a cab or find the BART system together...

If anyone is arriving near that time and would prefer to go straight to the social, I suggest you take BART to Caltrain and ride Caltrain into the city. It arrives a block away from AT&T Park. You will have to use the airport transit to get to BART, buy a ticket to Milbrae, take any train to San Bruno (one stop), change to a Milbrae train, then switch to Caltrain. It's simpler than it sounds, really. Check train schedule at caltrain.com or use Google Maps to plan your trip.

I just got here and got my gift bag. I'm walking to a lunch place if anyone is here and hungry. I have 2 questions.

1. Are we referring to each other by our handles? This meeting internet people is new and I don't know the rules.
2. If people are wearing their t-shirts let me know because I don't want to be the only idiot in a polo or alternatively the only idiot in a T-shirt.
