Version 6.2.0 Release -- What's New: New [ITA: Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Method: Additional Engine for Star Alliance Award/Upgrade Availability New [ITA: Upgrades/CO] Method: CO Upgrade/SWU Availability Resolved: [Sabre: GTC] Method Issues Enhanced: [My Trips] & [PNR Manager] Interfaces Download
After seeing this I decided to download and try using KVS for the first time. Overall the *A award availability through AC seems to work better than ANA in most cases. But I'm really confused by the error message "Complex" that I keep seeing, even for city pairs that I know have direct flights (e.g., SFO-FRA). I can understand saying "No Availability" but "Complex" is just wrong. It's not complex. Is this a bug or is there some other reason for this message so I can adjust my search to avoid it.
Welcome to the KVS Tool! The actual error message in the KVS Tool is "No Award Availability/Route Too Complex", with the former being the more likely reason. Unfortunately, the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] engine does not provide any further details in that regard: [KVS Availability Tool 6.2.0/Diamond - ITA: Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Code: SFO San Francisco Intl CA US [KSFO] FRA Frankfurt Metro / Intl DE = FRA HHN [EDDF] FRI 12 Aug 2011 | 8 Seats Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability --------- ------ ---- -------- ---- -------- --- -- --------------------------------------- No Award Availability/Route Too Complex
Finally bought KVS after hearing so many good things about Together with ITA and expedia/orbitz, I'm having so much fun pricing out all the cheap itineraries im finding!
Thanks... I didn't know about this software, it seems very good, specially for me who handle the travel for about 20 people!!
Being a Diamond-tier member, you can use the KVS Tool Mobile Companion on the iPad: http://www.KVSTool.com/Mobile-Companion-Info.php Please refer to your Welcome e-mail for the relevant Credentials.
Thanks. It just seems to be abbreviating it for some reason, and the abbreviation varies, making me think it's a different error message.
