Lifetime Platinum status for $2,000 and a free night in the SF Fairmont Prez suite

It appears that we lifetimers may now have a new valuable Chase Visa Fairmont credit card coming out in mid May. The details are in one of my posts in other credit cards. Platinum members will get a sign up bonus of two more free nights after $1,000 spend and annual benefits of a gold club floor upgrade and $100 more of food and beverage credits.

I received in the mail today the 2012 Platinum membership card, Free Night, Upgrade and Dining/Willow Spa Certificates, luggage tags, a notebook and a key. What is the key for?

The key is actually a USB drive with info about the Platinum Benefits. It has one page with a full list of all the Platinum benefits. Interesting, yes. Useful? Well, not really.

Pretty useful for me since I lost mine a few weeks ago, and if I put this one on my keychain, I'd be less apt to lose it. Unique too, I like it... I just wish it were a tad bigger.

I did not receive the 2012 Package yet!

The USB Key contains the access codes to FRHIs bank accounts in Zurich. You need these to unlock the vault for Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones to access the safe zone in KL.

Is anyone else worried about this clause in the T&C?

No. Not at all. I have the card and will report any issues I have. Checked in at 3 Fairmonts with the card so far, and there hasn't been an issue.

The Fairmont Presidents Club is really a machine that keeps giving. I just received my "passions" gifts...and though I'm not staying super often (I try to when I can), I am definitely getting a bunch out of this program.
