I just voted in the Freddies and after I voted there was a link to win an iPad, I clicked it and got an invalid link shown below. Gets Invalid URL after clicking above link...
All it says is "A random drawing will be held weekly at noon (MST) from all registered members of milepoint". While it says it's weekly, and gives the time, it doesn't give the day of the week. It sort of feels like there hasn't been a lot of attention put into this. Also, the way the link works is confusing to people already registered on Milepoint, since it just directs to the Milepoint home page with no explanation; easy to overlook the bit that registered members are already entered.
Read the On Point announcement and it details the dates of the drawings and the winners list. Saturday was a logical choice because March 31, the end of Freddie Awards voting ended on a Saturday, but Milepoint decided to stick up for some extra days. Read and see if we don't make the right decision. Thanks for the questions.
Thanks Randy! It's very generous of you as usual to give away gifts to the community. It might not be practical but maybe you can consider only those who have activities (e.g. a simple visit to MP) within the giveaway period are eligible for future events like this just to encourage participation or visit to MP.
We think of those things but balance it against two very important things to us: 1) be as uncomplicated as we can and 2) Milepoint exists to help all frequent flyers and we understand that one can learn by lurking as well. Thanks and to you and all others — good luck.
