Dinner at Neptune Friday night. Randy mixed with VX and Kiva folks. Sent from my Nexus S using milepoint
No longer at the Kiva Do! I left my heart in San Francisco! Hopefully this view will eventually cheer me up!
Virgin America wines and dines us. Lots of fun! Thanks to everybody who showed us around headquarters, Terminal 2 and gave us a magnificent coffee break and a catered lunch. Welcome drinks on the jetway Looks like economy, but it was Virgin economy with mood lighting and free liquor.
For this team, jbcarioca/JC, Randy and I would do it again. Team effort all around and a passion coursing through all of us. Let me also express my gratitude for the work JC did. I get a lot of thanks, but JC has worked behind the scenes to make many things happen. In fact, this Do is not only the legacy of what the MP team can do , but the wealth of expertise this team taps possesses. JC is a fine example of this! Randy also deserves immense credit for building a home for us at Milepoint and fostering this worldwide team. His contribution to the Kiva Do goes beyond what space I have to post! Over the last few months, my respect has grown leaps and bounds for both JC and Randy, beyond that I already had for them. Finally, thanks for all the support from the Attendees. I admittedly came in on Thurs quite ill and fatigued, but you guys invigorated me with your support and camaraderie and helped me carry through the days! In truth, we all made this happen and I am glad to play any part in it! I hope we get a chance to repeat the magic. I think Kiva would also like it and I know the attendees who came from other teams saw something magical. So who knows, this team always provides pleasant surprises!
Is the plan to make the Do an annual event? Always at Kiva HQ? Not everyone is home yet and I'm demanding details for the next one!
To get all the speakers and participants we had, it would likely have to occur in SF. Unless we fly them all to Rio!
Huge props to all the organizers and volunteers, and Kiva staff that gave their time and weekend to be with us!
There is a reason why JC received a Milepoint 777. lots of work done quietly behind the scenes. As we say in the military.....Bravo Zulu.
Same goes for canucklehead! This Do would never have come to fruition without both his & JC's incredible dedication, persistence & resources -- time, energy & other! Of course, we can't say enough about Randy & his tremendous inspiration, support & vision!
