I flew my usual NGO-NRT-ORD-CLT flight a couple of years ago with my 1 1/2-year-old son in C. We were in the front row, front section (row 5?). The senior CA came by and asked if we would be okay moving to the rear section of C. I looked at the section and saw only 2 other pax there, so I said, "Okay." Our CA from that point forward was a new trainee. Sound bad? It wasn't! She worked very hard to make me and my son very comfy and relaxed. I swear, it really seemed like we had our own private section and CA. She even offered to sit and watch my son while I went to the lav and for a walk to stretch my legs. No need to mention that I could touch the call button and she was there instantly. I felt like I was in my own G4. <edited to add> I realize that their motives may have been to get the little kid out of the front C section, but I don't care. The end result was that I had a great flight!
